A History of Canadian Architecture

Summary history of Canada and Canadians as seen in their most permanent creations: buildings and communities. Architecture is both the design and the expression of a culture, and these two themes are interwoven from start to finish. Another recurrent theme is the interaction of people with their environment, to produce shelter and buildings for their activities. All these perspectives, seen together, will help the reader to understand why people built the way they did.
