West Block Rehabilitation: Sculptural Elements

CIMS has been working with the Heritage Conservation Services (HCS) and the Parliamentary Precinct Directorate (PPD) of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) in exploring diverse applications for point cloud datasets created for the documentation of the West Block. One such exploration is the use of digital fabrication technologies in the creation of maquettes of damaged stone sculptural elements. CIMS is exploring how the use of digital fabrication might assist in the traditional repair process.
