Auld Kirk

The Auld Kirk church in the Town of Mississippi Mills, Lanark County is associated with early Scottish, Presbyterian settlers to Ontario. Constructed in 1836, the single-storey coarse rubble stone building is rectangular in plan and accentuated with Gothic Revival details including large lancet windows and gothic-arch windows with intersecting tracery. The Auld Kirk and its expansive cemetery are enclosed by a stone and iron gate.
